Cecconi’s is this food place where you eat noodles and pizza and stuff. It’s in the city on a street with a funny name — Flinders something — and also in Toorak where fancy people live. They have pasta that’s long and soft and sauce everywhere, and pizza that’s hot and sometimes kinda floppy but still good.

People go there to eat when they want to feel special or like they’re in Italy but actually they’re just in Melbourne. The people who work there wear black clothes and walk fast with plates. Sometimes they pour you drink from a bottle and you just nod and say “thanks.”

There’s lots of lights and chairs and everyone talks like “oh this pasta is amazing.” They got wine and also bread. The bread comes first and it’s so good you might eat it all before the pasta comes.

If you don’t like gluten or meat or anything fun, they still got food for you too. The place in the city is busy and loud, and the one in Toorak is quiet and smells like money.

You go there, you eat, you get full, you pay, you leave, you maybe say “wow that was nice.” That’s Cecconi’s. It’s Italian food but fancier and with napkins that are too big.
